Citizens Advice
Nationwide
Citizens Advice gives free, independent, confidential advice on benefits, debt and money, housing, work, immigration and consumer problems. Adviceline (England) is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday excluding public holidays, and is free from mobiles and landlines. If you call from a mobile you will be asked for a postcode so the service can route you to your local Citizens Advice; a few parts of England are not yet covered. In Wales, call Advicelink on 0800 702 2020. Scotland and Northern Ireland have separate Citizens Advice services. Local offices set their own opening hours, which often differ from the national line.
